At the beginning of time, there was just that moment.  There was NO past yet.....therefore, the past is a result of the present moment.  At the beginning of time, it was now [then], and its still NOW.

Dogen said, "Time goes from present to the past."   It's a revolutionary way of approaching life.....and quite a challenge in trying something like this in our culture.  Cheers!!!
